Éden Apartments Rooftop Bar Review

I ended up at the rooftop bar at Éden Apartments after finishing a photo tour with a Polish girl back in March. We stopped for a drink overlooking Lisbon and she ordered a sangria that looked so good I remembered it months later. Since then, whenever I’m passing through Rossio on the way home, I often stop there for a drink and to take in the view across Castelo de São Jorge, Graça, Alfama and Lisbon Cathedral.

For some reason this place still feels like a hidden gem. I’ve been coming here for over four years and it never seems overly busy, even during summer. The rooftop has a small pool for hotel guests, sun loungers and a relaxed atmosphere that feels very different from some of Lisbon’s louder rooftop bars. Most people were quietly chatting with drinks in hand while looking out over the city. I finally tried the sangria for myself and it absolutely lived up to expectations.

The only thing that slightly lets it down is the seating, which is fairly simple café-style tables and chairs, considering how good the location is. Still, if you want a quieter rooftop bar in Lisbon with incredible views and a much more relaxed atmosphere than the bigger tourist-heavy spots, Éden Apartments rooftop bar is definitely worth visiting.
