One of the things I enjoy most about living and working in Lisbon is discovering the people, businesses and places that help make a visit to the city that little bit easier.
This guide forms part of my Lisbon Guide and is a collection of businesses and services I’ve come to trust through my own experience of living in the city.
Over time I’ve met local business owners, explored different parts of Lisbon and used services that I feel confident recommending to my photography clients and visitors to the city. Rather than creating a long directory of random businesses, this page is a collection of people and services I’ve either used personally, spoken to directly or believe genuinely add value to a visit to Lisbon.

Sam’s Tuk-Tuk is licenced for 4 passengers, but he can organise further Tuk-Tuks for larger groups.

Philippa is born in Lisbon, extremly knowlegable and friendly, she can carry upto 6 passengers.

Lisbon Old Town Guest House.
I have stayed here on quite a few occations due to it’s perfect location. My daughter stayed here with her friend in March. It’s owned by Antonio who’s a great guy, and has 6 rooms.
Just say Andy from Manchester Photography recommended it and he will look after you.
Food recommendation try Loja das Conservas Petiscos it’s just around the back.
Principe Real Guest House
This is a beautiful guest house, I the great upmarket neighborhood of Principe Real. A 2 minute walk from Rato Metro stop and a 10 minute walk into Bairro Alto. Or you can catch a ride on the 24 vintage tram into Chiado.
I’ve stayed here on a couple of occations, the roof terrice is one of the things I love about this place.
